Our Mission

At the Migrant Justice and Development Coalition (MJDC), our mission is to advance justice, dignity, and human rights for migrant workers and underserved communities across Canada and beyond. We are committed to dismantling the systemic barriers—legal, social, and economic—that enable exploitation and inequality. Through advocacy, education, legal empowerment, and community support, MJDC works to ensure that every individual, regardless of status, has the opportunity to live and work in safety, freedom, and fairness.

Our mission is rooted in the belief that migration should never be a pathway to abuse. Guided by the principles of inclusivity, accountability, and access to justice, we empower individuals to know and claim their rights, challenge systems of oppression, and hold powerful actors—
governments, corporations, and institutions—accountable for their actions. From rural farm fields to policy forums, we stand alongside those who are often silenced, ensuring their voices shape the laws, policies, and practices that impact their lives.

Our Vision

A world where every migrant lives with dignity, free from exploitation, and empowered to thrive in just and equitable societies.
